Barrett's PR representative: "Arabesque, the entire Barrett Campaign appreciates your great work for the Truth"

Barrett's PR representative: "Arabesque, the entire Barrett Campaign appreciates your great work for the Truth"

By Arabesque

I received this correspondence from Kevin Barrett's PR representative, Rolf Lindgren:

"Arabesque... You're doing a great job fighting for 9/11 Truth... Once again, we all here in Wisconsin and the entire Barrett Campaign appreciates your great work for the Truth."
Thanks, Rolf! I'm glad that the Barrett campaign appreciates my hard work. His message asked me to correct an "error" in which I state that Kevin Barrett endorses Directed Energy Weapons and TV fakery. Unfortunately, I can't correct errors that are not errors.

I'm just a little confused about one thing though. Why did Barrett call me a "COINTELPRO" operative on his radio show if he thinks I'm doing "great work"? Not to mention that I'm still scratching my head over the fact that Barrett called 911blogger "Islamophobic" and Lindgren called truthaction activists "batshit insane". When I criticized these divisive attacks, Lindgren "responded" by saying:
Arabesque has totally lost his grasp with reality in this article [Kevin Barrett and his PR Manager Slander 911blogger, Truthaction, and 9/11 Activists]. He forgets that Kevin Barrett is not the enemy, but his ally. The real enemy is the Bush Administration and those that promote the 9/11 Commission myth. I would hope that Arabesque could return to his more productive work of the past, in [promoting] the strongest 9/11 Truth evidence to the public.
That's right, instead of responding to my criticism that Kevin Barrett is attacking 9/11 activists, he ignores these facts and says that 'we're all on the same side.' Does that make any sense to you? No wonder I said that Lindgren's job as Barrett's PR manager is not an easy one.

The Kennebunkport Warning Controversy Reviewed

The Kennebunkport Warning Controversy Reviewed

By Arabesque

On August 29th, 2007, Webster Tarpley issued the Kennebunkport Warning. It claimed “massive evidence” suggested that a US-Sponsored false flag terror attack would be orchestrated in “the coming months”. The original document listed signatures by Cindy Sheehan, Ann Wright and others.

Or did it?

At least five anti-war activists including Cindy Sheehan denied signing the document and an ensuing controversy erupted. While those who denied signing the document were civil and cordial, those who created the warning offered insults, accusations, and divisive behavior. Later, those investigating the affair were targeted with accusations and insults along with false allegations that they “opposed” the Kennebunkport warning and “worked for the Ford Foundation”. Charges of incivility against the warning promoters remain unacknowledged.

While many offered their take on the controversy, a “9/11 truth leader” responded without naming names or taking sides; giving advice on how to deal with disinformation, infiltration, and agent provocateurs. Jim Hoffman offered his thoughts on Cosmos' radio show:

"It’s so clear. What possible motive would there be someone to go making these vicious characterizations of these really well known peace activists like Cindy Sheehan… When people like [Cosmos], Arabesque, and Wolsey report on it, to be viciously attacked by Tarpley with all these ridiculous accusations of COINTELPRO…? Very entertaining to watch, very vivid, just lurid—it’s ridiculous... I think it’s a really good test of whether people are really in this in the benefit of our movement: are going to tolerate this sort of thing? Where are the voices of the alleged leaders of the 9/11 truth movement about this and similar incidents? I think the silence from some quarters is deafening."

Citizen Investigation Team: Arabesque Cartoon

Citizen Investigation Team: Arabesque Cartoon

Today, I received this cartoon from Aldo Marquis of Citizen Investigation Team (CIT):

It was followed by this explanation by Marquis:

"Arabesque, I found a photo of you at a 9/11 conference... Oh yeah...by the way[...] the plane approached on the north side of the Citgo."

Unfortunately, CIT is not limited to attacking people in the 9/11 truth movement for being "anonymous", as this message also included a personal attack against Pentagon researcher John Farmer. CIT hardly needs any excuse at all for these sorts of personal attacks at all as I have prolifically documented.

Personal attacks requires motive and intent. In my experience, personal attacks and irrelevant commentary are used to intentionally create hostility within the 9/11 truth movement, possibly with the intent of distracting attention away from facts, evidence, and legitimate debate. Personal attacks are a diversion and distraction similarly exploited by FOX propaganda specialists like Bill O'Reilly and Michelle Malkin. Likewise, the 9/11 truth "debunker" site "Screw Loose Change" strongly emphasizes personal attacks against 9/11 truth advocates instead of debate. As Jim Fetzer explains (note: see this article for my observations on Fetzer and his definitions of disinformation), Ad hominem attacks are disinformation:

“The third level of disinformation occurs by abusing the man (AD HOMINEM) in attacking the author or the editor of a work on irrelevant or misleading grounds that have little or nothing to do with the position the author or editor represents.”
Jim Fetzer, Signs of Disinformation

As for CIT's claim that the plane flew "north of CITGO" gas station, this has long been debunked. Among the witnesses that CIT cites as "evidence" include witness accounts (5 years later) who said the plane hit the Pentagon (implicitly debunking the north flight path), appeared to show up on different location on the CITGO gas station video from where they claimed to be (CIT claiming that the perpetrators purposely altered the video), with another witness claiming that light poles were "not knocked down" where they were in fact, knocked down.

Disingenuously, CIT claims that these witnesses are somehow "smoking gun" evidence of a "military slight of hand deception" that "fooled" witnesses into somehow thinking that a plane hit the Pentagon despite the above and other glaring problems with the theory.

A Response to "Arabesque's False Unity Crusade" by Real Truther (a.k.a Gretavo)

A Response to Arabesque's False Unity Crusade by Real Truther (a.k.a Gretavo)

By Arabesque

I will answer several points in a response to my article 9/11 Truth and Division: Disinformation, Agent Provocateurs, and False Adversaries. Real Truther begins:

Arabesque is currently riding high as an authority on what is disinformation and COINTELPRO in the 9/11 Truth Movement. Arguments over this kind of claim to authority is one of the things that made Real Truther persona-non-grata at 911blogger, so its resurfacing with a veneer of sober objectivity begs for some good-ol' fashioned "disunifying" critique.

To my knowledge, I have never made such a claim that I am an "authority" or "expert". Obviously, Real Truther must think highly (enough) of me to put such effort into writing this factually challenged piece, and for that, well thanks—I’m flattered. I won’t dispute the fact that others have valued my work, but I can’t control what others think or write about me.

This pretense to sanctity on behalf of certain individuals, groups, or events is to me a fairly reliable red flag.

I do not disagree, but slander, false insinuations without evidence, and personal attacks are ad-homienm. However, if something can be proven it is fair game.

Truth is inherently immune from debunking, so why would anyone who knows that they are right feel threatened by questions, as opposed to relishing the opportunity to establish (as many times as necessary) the validity of one's position?

Indeed. But any good politician knows that you can smear your opponent with a false line of questioning and insinuations without a shred of evidence. This is a classic character assassination technique. It is helpful to look at the facts, rather than the man who is talking about them. After all, many times it is a diversion when it is the facts that are at issue, not the man.

Naturally I agree with Arabesque that COINTELPRO and disinfo are both real issues that must be acknowledged and dealt with.

I agree. This means that everyone has a right to discuss the relevant issues without falsely being labeled (even by those in disagreement with you) as “experts”. Unless it is meant as a compliment, of course.

But I would go a step further and point out the danger of simplifying the practice of determining who or what is and isn't. Arabesque's thesis centers around the premise that unity is good for the movement, that divisiveness is sown to derail it, and that the disinfo crowd does the sowing. I won't disagree, but I would say that we would be foolish to put unity above truth.

The key word here is “truth”. Who decides what is “truth”, and by whose “authority”? Here Real Truther reveals his hidden hypocrisy. He accuses me of a “false unity crusade” and of being an “authority” (when I have never claimed such a thing), and then he makes the statement we shouldn’t put “unity above truth” with the obvious, but hidden assumption that Real Truther knows the truth by virtue of his own "authority". This is very clear since his confidence in his own "authority" leads him to prolifically name “shills” based on their perceived heresy.

"Putting unity above truth"? This is a key point that is misunderstood by Real Truther. To explain, I would never advocate “unity by agreement”, since such a thing is impossible even in concept within the 9/11 truth movement. Instead, I am actually advocating “unity by common cause” with disagreements approached with civility. This is the main thesis of my article which Real Truther clearly misrepresents. Not surprisingly, if the “truth” is controversial there will always be disagreement. Free debate and acknowledgment of differing views without personal attacks and baseless character assassination can only help us get to the actual truth by focusing on the actual issues rather than the people advocating them. Mostly, this is a diversion--unless of course, some believe that the "purpose" of the 9/11 truth movement is to endlessly gossip about its members—not get criminals prosecuted and named for their obvious and blatant crimes.

Does 9/11 Truth really need the same kind of rhetoric? Are the democrats and republicans in any way overtly united?

Indeed, the 9/11 truth movement does not need rhetoric of any kind. We certainly don't need the personalized ad-hominem attack rhetoric campaigns of the kind commonly seen in many 9/11 forums. Aside from this point, the above statement is another false analogy unless it is assumed the 9/11 truth movement is not united in the desire for another investigation or agree with the basic premise that a crime was committed and that the true perpetrators were therefore not held accountable.

Indeed, my premise is that we don’t need the rhetoric that only certain members of the truth movement “have the truth” by some divine “authority” to name anyone who disagrees with this “obvious and unquestionable truth” a “shill”. Indeed, to complain about “authority” while calling people who disagree “shills” while naming oneself "real truther" is the ultimate form of "authoritarian" hypocrisy that I could possibly imagine. I offered the suggestion that we can treat each other as equals and discuss disagreement with civility. The result of this "suggestion" was to be called a "shill" by "Real Truther".

Moving on to the Pentagon, Real Truther writes:

Absent any conclusive evidence of a 757 having crashed into the Pentagon, evidence that should exist in spades given the video surveillance cameras all over the Pentagon, the burden of proof rests on those who claim that a 757 did crash there.

Of course, I don’t have a problem with this statement. Nor do I have a problem with anyone who is “agnostic” about what happened at the Pentagon. The US Government should end this intentional controversy and release the videos. Of course, how we get them is the real question--not who believes what happened.

The subtext is clear--let's leave the Pentagon out of our discussions...

I never implied that the Pentagon shouldn't be discussed. Another straw-man.

…or if we must discuss it, let's avoid making anyone look like a fool for supporting the OCT on that score. Let's pretend that it does not raise suspicion when people seem so willing to take on faith one aspect of the OCT but not others.

Not on “faith”, but “evidence”. Sometimes evidence is ambiguous and the truth is not obvious. I dare apologize for questioning Real Truther's divine “authority” over my “faith”, but many of the most credible 9/11 websites and researchers advocate pro-757 arguments. Of course, let's not get into arguments from authority, as that is an obvious fallacy already much discussed here. But it is interesting that even former hardcore "no-757" theorists like the Loose Change filmmakers and David Ray Griffin have changed their tune to “agnostic” from their previous and clear-cut “no-757” point of view. Why would they change their minds unless the evidence was far from conclusive?

When Arabesque talks about ‘divisive issues’, in other words, he seems to be referring to issues that should not be divisive.

That’s the point I was trying to make.

Why is he trying to make us think that those are divisive issues then? …Certainly he doesn't think that people will stop discussing them, does he?

What I actually meant is that ad-hominem attacks (i.e. “you friggin shill!!!!” --see below) and fighting that occur over disagreements are divisive, not the issues themselves. People, not ideas fight with each other. I already explained above that I don’t believe in “unity by agreement”. This is yet another straw-man in which Real Truther confuses “unity by agreement” with my thesis of “unity by common cause”.

Surely he can't believe that confronted with indisputable evidence that we were lied to about 9/11 in such a monumental way that the existence of disagreement on certain aspects is going to cripple the movement with disunity, or does he?

In fact, this is exactly how COINTELPRO has worked in the past to render movements ineffective. A major part of this strategy was to intentionally create hostility within activist groups to halt progress towards movement goals.

For the definition of an ad hominem argument, Arabesque just happens to find the
perfect source in a site defending the official holocaust narrative… as far as authorities on disinfo and dishonesty go, Arabesque has just joined John Albanese in the Pantheon of Self-Referential Experts.

I have to admit I was very puzzled by this comment. Perhaps, I should have known better to accidentally and carelessly quote a website which discusses Real Truther's “Self-Referential” area of “Authority”--the Holocaust.

And finally, a word to Arabesque--kiss my divisive ass, you friggin' shill! [Helpfully written in a size viewable for the elderly and reading impaired.

My apologizes to "Real Truther"--the name of a self-appointed "authority" if there ever was one, but I don’t kiss burning straw.

The Sound of Disinformation: What Will They Say Next?

The Sound of Disinformation: What Will They Say Next?

By Arabesque

Disinformation is deliberately misleading information. In the 9/11 truth movement, this has been taken to the extreme. Often, this results in moments of hilarious, absurd, and unintentional comedy. Did they really say these things? What were they thinking? Listen for yourself and find out.

Jim Fetzer shows his love for... Judy Wood and beams from space?

Jim Fetzer: “I must say I think we’re finding out Judy, what happened on 9/11. I’m just blown away by your work. This is the most fascinating development in the history of the study of 9/11… I’m going to make a wild guess Judy; I’m going to presume that these [directed energy] beams had to be located in Building 7?”

Judy Wood: “Nope. I don’t think so.”

Fetzer: “Planes?”

Judy Wood: “No… I think it’s very likely it’s in orbit.”

Fetzer: “Oh Really?? Oh ho ho ho ho! Oh Judy. Oh my, oh my, oh my. This is huge… this is huge Judy.” [source: Jim Fetzer interviews Judy Wood, Non-Random Thoughts on RBN Live, November 11, 2006]

Morgan Reynolds embarrasses the real 9/11 truth movement by making the bogus claim that there were no planes used on 9/11.

"There were no big boeing crashes... I encourage everyone to do a frame by frame, penetration of the south tower, and what you will see is a fake, cartoon display. An aluminum plane cannot go through a building like the south tower was, as if it were thin air. We don't really understand how they did that... they are contrived." [source: Fox News, Youtube, Dr. Reynolds exposes 9/11 TV fakery on FoxNews, September 13, 2006]

Webster Tarpley rants about Arabesque, Cosmos, Michael Wolsey, truthaction.org and others in the Kennebunkport Warning controversy:

Who opposes the Kennebunkport warning? We discovered going through this that if you take all the slanderous filth, counter-organizing, disinformation and so forth, about two-thirds of it comes from about half a dozen people as far as I can see. And let's tell you who they are. First of all, you have to look at the site called truthaction.org. As far as I can see about two-thirds of the site appears to be devoted to slanders and vilification of the Kennebunkport Warning. This shows what one can only call the typical style of the counter-gang... they mix in a huge dose of anonymous slander, vilification, denigration, calumny, libel, and defamation. The leading poison pen seems to be an individual called Cosmos... Anonymous slanders are his stock and trade. He wants to slander you and vilify you from the shadows, spread disinformation, distortions. These are the venom-mongers, the merchants of pus who like to operate from behind the scenes. These are the wreckers and saboteurs... Then we have somebody else called Colonel Jenny Sparks in quotation marks... Another poison pen slanderer, another wrecker and saboteur. The only questions we have are, is this COINTELPRO, is this the current style of the FBI counter-gang? So here we have Cosmos who shows you he looks like he's trying to imitate Che Guavara or a member of the Sons of David baseball team. He's hiding behind a huge beard, looks like the Italian aviators in A Night at the Opera... Michael Wolsey, Visibility 9/11. He appears of course in shades, he's got some cool shades on, he doesn’t want you to see him... Another person who has been active in these slander operations is somebody called Arabesque... I think [his] disinformation department is absolutely admirable. He seems to have all the disinformation you could want. He's pushing it and peddling it on this sleazy, smelly website. So thats arabesque911.blogspot.com... These people have practiced a constructive fraud on public opinion. I think they operate with multiple pseudonyms. We do not know who they are. Colonel Jenny Sparks for all we know may be a cigar-chomping FBI agent or a branch of Shin Bet somewhere in the Occupied Territories or a subcommittee of the National Security Council. We simply do not know... These are the poison pens and the slander snipers and these are the people you have to watch out for. [source: Webster Tarply, The Genesis World Report with Webster Tarpley, September 6, 2007]

Webster Tarpley praises... Nico Haupt?

Nico Haupt… is one of the leading researchers in the 9/11 truth movement. Indeed, he’s been called the enfant terrible of the 9/11 truth movement research. He’s always controversial, but he’s always on the cutting edge of research. He is the author of the 9/11 encyclopedia. He conducted for quite a while the 911skeptics.blogspot. I would point out that no matter how controversial some of his ideas may sound, over the years a lot of his discoveries have been indeed been incorporated into what is the conventional and accepted wisdom about these matters… Nico is the one who practically invented the terms LIHOP and MIHOP… Finally he is one of the leading people in the research on how the news-film of 9/11, that you saw on CNN and the other networks was doctored. He also has some… very controversial, but extremely heuristic findings about implications about doctored news-film and other considerations for what actually happened on 9/11… He has some very very interesting research results… [source: Webster Tarpley, World Crisis Radio, March 25 2006 ]

Jim Fetzer almost cries and gets emotional about TV fakery research

When I discovered a scientist of the caliber of Judy Wood... [long pause--gets emotional] that I've spent so much time seeking to open minds. To broaden the imagination, to consider alternatives that one might prefer were not the case... [voice hoarse] And I'll say today... when it comes to the study of this video fakery, you've seen a brilliant, scientific objective analysis from this man... Ace Baker. ...I say that between the breath of study provided by September Clues and... Ace Baker, that there's a prima facie case that has to be overwhelmed by superior evidence if it can be produced--not only of the existence of video fakery, but the overwhelming probability to manage events... the whole thing through the media without planes--I'm telling you the evidence is growing... you have to take this seriously... we're down the rabbit hole. This whole thing has been a massive deception... it's objective and provable! ...we had Morgan Reynolds whose been pilloried like practically no one else has been pilloried for even advancing the idea that there's no planes... by God... we could listen to a patient explanation of what really happened in terms of methodical analysis of actual footage... and the point was proven! And it was brilliant! And you were here! You were here! [source: Jim Fetzer, Ace Baker Presentation, Scholars for 9/11 Truth, The Science and the Politics of 9/11: What's Controversial, What's Not, August 3-5, 2007.]

The True Tale of the Mad Hatter

The True Tale of the Mad Hatter

By Arabesque

The dark underside of the 9/11 truth movement consists of a strange supporting cast of eccentrics, dis-informers, trolls, internet personas, general-all-around yahoos, and… who knows? This is a story about a Mad Hatter who sang a song of Death and Vengeance to the hooded and mysterious Arabesque.

The Hatter turned to Madness soon after Webster Tarpley infamously described Cindy Sheehan and others as “lying in appalling fashion” and a “wretched individual” in the Kennebunkport Warning controversy. Arabesque, TruthAction and others were reporting these attacks. While bringing attention to this subject, Arabesque wrote: “I am not advocating a conclusion on this controversy, but I am trying to bring attention to the claims and counterclaims of those involved. I believe the main issue of importance is that non-9/11 truth activists are being unjustly treated by promoters of the warning.” [Photo: Mad Hatter wearing one of his many disguises.]

Seemed reasonable enough, right? Or was it? In the 9/11 truth movement, Orwell is rolling in his grave. Reporting personal attacks are the same as making an attack! Speaking out against divisiveness is divisive! Unity is silence in the face of outrageous disruption! Or so some would have us believe… One such person was… we’ll call him the Mad Hatter. Hatter contributed some good analysis and his work was at least appreciated by a few. He was a long-time member of this group and contributed many insights with the appearance of a normal, every day researcher and activist. But after Arabesque initiated a discussion about the Kennebunkport Warning controversy, Hatter began to act very strangely. Hatter’s first comment sounded perfectly reasonable saying, “Misappropriating someone's signature is a crime. In this case I don't know if the typical punishment for such a crime is commensurate with the seriousness of the alleged misdeed."

“Fair enough”, thought Arabesque. “Nothing wrong here, although it has not been proven who has committed the crime.” One of Hatter’s next comments seemed to apologize for Tarpley’s divisive behaviour saying, “I've criticized Tarpley in the past for his acerbic tone. It's possible that Tarpley is simply an a** at times.” But then suddenly, Mad Hatter began to shift into strange territory: "Quite frankly I don't trust anybody completely, and I have considerable mistrust of most. I'm confident that you realize that by calling attention to this dispute while clearly taking a side, you set yourself up to be the object of suspicion."

Suspicion? What was the basis for this suspicion? To some in the 9/11 truth movement, everyone is a suspect. Arabesque responded decisively and concisely with the clear point of view that, “Yes I am taking sides. I am taking sides against personal attacks.”

But the 'Hooded One' had a feeling about Hatter that would not shake; “What is up with this guy?” Arabesque was about to find out. Hatter began to insist that Arabesque was intentionally trying to discredit Mr. Tarpley, and then Hatter appeared to have lost his objectivity, “It seems to me that discrediting Tarpley might be a top priority for those who want to derail the truth movement… You have yet to suggest any ulterior motive Tarpley might have for his actions.”

Motive? Now, Arabesque suspected that the Hatter was up to something. It was not Arabesque’s responsibility to provide a motive for anything—only the facts as they stood. This appeared to be an attempt to derail the conversation and manipulate a response which could not be proven and then be attacked as a straw-man. Arabesque replied clearly and concisely, “I don't have to supply a motive for his actions. His actions speak for themselves.” Something was up. And then it got weirder.

Hatter turned to Madness—he posted images side by side implying that 9/11 activists at TruthAction.org were communists. “Communism In America.”

“Well isn’t that pretty weird”, Arabesque thought. “What’s this guy’s problem? Who goes around insinuating that activist groups are communists?” It appeared that the Mad Hatter was trying to manipulate another response. Hatter’s comment seemed more than a little… Mad and not worth answering. At this point, Arabesque figured “he’s just a troll—that ever-so-present entity on 9/11 forums who go around trying to stir things up with nonsensical accusations and diversionary commentary.” But this was completely unexpected since the Hatter appeared to be a normal member of the group, and had never acted this way before! Was there something more to this behavior? Arabesque had a feeling there was.

And then it got weirder and even more transparent. Arabesque ignored the absurd insinuation that TruthAction.org were communists and posted another thread about 9/11 activist Michael Wolsey. It became clear Hatter was not only a troll—he was trying to discredit the Kennebunkport Warning investigators with absurd insinuations—blatant and ridiculous disinformation! Mad Hatter asked in this thread if Michael Wolsey had “any relation to James?” James Woosley, no relation to Michael Wolsey (note spelling difference), was a former director of the CIA. The Mad Hatter did not give James' last name because he knew it was spelled differently. The Mad Hatter had dishonest intentions. To Arabesque’s surprise, Hatter was quickly given the boot from the forum by an administrator for these and other comments insinuating holocaust denial—of which, Arabesque was completely unaware about. Hatter had run out of warnings for his silly disruption, but Arabesque was nonetheless surprised that the HatMan was shown the door. Although it appeared to be the demise of the Mad Hatter, it was just the beginning.

The Mad Hatter is a man of many, often fanciful names and sock puppets—but easily identifiable. Often, Hatter attempts to let others know it is indeed the Madman wearing the Hat. Elsewhere, Hatter wrote “I stayed on the fence until someone pushed me off… I have to say, the evidence I have collected thus far tends to support Tarpley… When it comes to visibility911.com and TruthAction.org, they appear to be connected by more than common purpose.” What was this common purpose? What was this evidence? Mr. Hatter of course, had none and never gave any—he merely had insinuations. Statements without support or validation. Disinformation. Again, Hatter frequently made the absurd insinuation that TruthAction.org was a communist front group or Communism In America, repeatedly hinting without evidence that it “looks as though Tarpley may be right,” referring to the unsupported accusation that Arabesque and others were disinformation operatives and even “COINTELPRO”. Where was this evidence? Neither Hatter or others have ever provided any. Hatter ironically commented again using innuendo to imply “Strange the focus is on Cindy Sheehan and not Arabesque… I think it's rather clear that you are trying to discredit Tarpley through innuendo and hyperbolæ. Why don't you let Cindy Sheehan speak for herself? As I've already pointed out, you appear to be attempting to discredit Tarpley by any duplicitous means at your disposal. Tarpley names names.” Hatman was exactly describing himself and even Webster Tarpley, not Arabesque! Everywhere, Hatter insinuated, suggested, and hinted without evidence, facts, or proof, “there is an even more insidious form of disruptor. There are several people who are presenting themselves as experts on disinformation, and are, themselves, acting as disinformation operatives. Naming them is tantamount to virtual suicide.” Arabesque responded sarcastically, “probably because I'm really good at debunking nonsensical and absurd… insinuations like this one.” Did Hatter have any proof at all? The Mad Hatter was only a Man of insinuations without facts.

If someone is accused of being related to a CIA director, but no proof is given, this is an accusation without confirmation. It may or may not be true. To the uniformed, accusations can be interpreted differently based on your awareness of the facts to confirm or disprove them:

  • If the necessary information is known to the intended audience, they can make a judgment as to whether the accusation is correct.
  • If the necessary information is not known, the suggested possibility or accusation is enough to create confusion and uncertainty—is this information true? Could it be true? Is it likely to be true?
  • A sceptic treats all information as unconfirmed until it is backed up with credible sources.
  • Those who do not examine information critically are more apt to accept misleading claims without questioning them. For example, the official story of 9/11. This is a psychological trick exploited by many manipulative promoters of disinformation who prey on this human weakness.
  • Disinformation entails the distribution of deliberately misleading information; accusations without confirmed sources or verifiable evidence qualify as such.

The Mad Hatter insinuated everywhere with poorly constructed, transparent, and even silly disinformation; misleading and unsupported insinuations that TruthAction.org was a “communist group”, Michael Wolsey was “related to former CIA director James Woolsey”, Arabesque was a “disinformation operative”, and that TruthAction.org, visibility911.com, 911truth.org, 911blogger.com, and other websites were “owned” by the same people—a psy-op truth movement. Where was the proof? There wasn't any. These were all obviously and clearly absurd insinuations.

Why would Hatter do this? What was the motive? Was there money or financial benefit involved? If so, who did the Mad Hatter work for? Was Hatter just… Mad? He appeared to be only selectively absurd about certain topics, and the Kennebunkport Warning controversy was one of them. Everywhere, the Hatman “defended” Tarpley without relying on facts; instead attacking those who criticized him with baseless insinuations and absurd disinformation! In this regard, he was no different than Webster Tarpley. Hatter’s sudden turn from seemingly normal and rational changed to Mad disruption and relentless insinuation almost instantly. At one time, he was not a MadMan. Why did he go Mad? Turning to Madness is a common trait seen by agent provocateurs who at first pretend to be legitimate members of a group. Could the Mad Hatter be a Hat-wearing agent provocateur? This is someone who works in the interests of another group while provoking debate, spreading disinformation, and causing disruption. The Mad Hatter was doing all three. It was clear that he had relentless and deliberate intent. It was not clear why he was doing it. Only the Hatter himself could “suggest any ulterior motive”. Why are you doing it HatMan?

And this Hatter was anywhere and everywhere with different Hats to his name! MadHat had a dozen Hats—like a private army of Hatters. The Mad Hatting campaign of insinuations without evidence continued anywhere Arabesque and others resided: “I am left to question Michael Wolsey's motive for producing such a lengthy condemnation of Tarpley. Could he be making a mountain out of a molehill for some ulterior motive? Where can I find some example of Wolsey's original 9/11 work so that I can assess the sincerity of his efforts?” He further revealed with blatant insinuation, “I would expect a person determined to infiltrate and endeavor to disrupt or mislead the movement would provide a forum for those people and ideas which are already prominent, or which are inevitably going to become prominent. This latter category can be extremely valuable since it gives the illusion that the infiltrator is at the forefront of the effort, helping to dig up the latest dirt.”

As the Mad Hatter should well know, accusations without evidence are worthless. This Mad Hatter had none, and he knows it. I know that he has no evidence, because I know none exists.

For his insistent insinuations without evidence and factually challenged disruption, Hatter was banned in multiple 9/11 forums again and again. But the Hatter kept coming back with different Hats! This Man with a Hat was on a mission of disruption, insinuation, and disinformation. An impartial observer commented that Hatter, “goes to extraordinary lengths in establishing that he is knowledgeable and erudite, which he must be given some of his posts… only to bring out low-grade disinformation (or is that 3rd grade?) like, ‘a lot of these sites register by a proxy service’ (a well-known one used by millions of sites - maybe because they don't want their address available for harassment?) and ‘TruthAction.org is communist’ because it uses the raised-fist symbol and (gasp) red letters. His apparent native intelligence is not an excuse; it only makes him look even worse for putting out such obvious junk attacks.” This correctly summed up the Matter—the Mad Hatter was both intelligent and absurd; his unfounded claims were only prolific insinuations.

This Hatter was clearly Mad in more than one sense. He issued a death threat disguised in the form of a song to Arabesque—one of his calling cards:

“To Whom it May Concern

I will find you/ 'cause I will hunt you down / I will walk behind you/ Without a sound/ And I will strike/ When the time is right/ I will bring you down/ Oh, to the ground/ And I will make you bleed / Like you did me/ Oh once before/ And of this/ You can be sure/ I will hear you cry/ For mercy's hand/ But that will be/ At my command/ For you can't do/ What you have done/ And expect/ To stand, not run/ I spoke the truth/ And you spoke lies/ And for this/ You will die/ To taste your blood/ Is oh so fine/ And vengeance sweet/ She shall be mine/”

This Death Threat was obviously directed at Arabesque for reasons that are not obvious, although the Mad Hatter disingenuously implies otherwise. The Mad Hatter WAS "walking behind" Arabesque and following him to every forum he posted in as implied in this song, so this was clearly evidence which could be interpreted as a Death Threat to Arabesque. Arabesque had nothing to do with The Man with The Hat and his initial banning—the HatMan was warned multiple times by an administrator. Arabesque had no control over Mad Hatter’s fate. Arabesque was not a moderator. Arabesque does not control who decides to ban the Mad Hatter, and the Hatman is simply mistaken, paranoid, or disingenuous for claiming otherwise. Nor did Arabesque accuse the Hatter of anything or even seriously engage him in discussion since much of what the Hatter said was… well—Mad. Arabesque largely ignored the Mad Hatter and his transparently passive-aggressive attempts at disruption and derailment. But clearly, Hatter wanted to know who Arabesque was. Hatter was Mad—asking for Arabesque’s name in emails to a prominent activist in the 9/11 truth movement. Hatter wanted the names of the Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice Steering Committee. The Hatter stalked Arabesque anywhere and everywhere for three months. The Mad Hatter gave Arabesque a Death Threat in the form of a song. The HatMan would not go away. He was either paid to do what he was doing, or he was a creepy Madman with an army of Hats in disguise.

The full story has not been revealed. The Identity of the Man under the Hat is known. The Rabbit Hole is gapingly open—how far it go? A scary place indeed. All has yet to be disclosed about this Man under a Hat.

Who is Captain May?

Who is Captain May?

A supporter of "next 9/11" research and articles, antisemitism, numerology, and accusations of COINTELPRO against 9/11 researchers/activists.

By Arabesque

"Don’t call me Deep Throat... call me Captain May." Captain Eric May

Who is "Captain" Eric May?

"Captain May, a former Army intelligence and public affairs officer, is the founder and commander of Ghost Troop, a 300-strong unit comprised of military and police veterans and active duty, along with civilian research/activists. He is on a self-declared "mission of conscience" to oppose the Bush War Cabal."
Ghost Troop is comprised of:
"former military and interested civilians, many with a background in recon and intelligence... working on the analysis of the 911-to-be (ergo 9112B) event which has been pre-programmed into the public via the media as a matter of WHEN, not IF."

While the above citation claims that Ghost Troop consists of “former” members of the military, another article reveals that there are "current" members:

"Commanded by Captain Eric H. May, Ghost Troop consists of current and past high-level military professionals who claim expertise at reading governmental strategies and predicting what will happen next. Cracking embedded codes plays a significant role, says Captain May, as does utilizing a highly sophisticated network of intelligence operatives and analyzing events that perhaps have a hidden agenda. [...]

CAPT. MAY: Ghost Troup [sic] is really an analytic group. As a trained intelligence officer I serve as the chief analyst. As a trained public affairs officer I serve as the unit spokesman. What I put out is the distilled intelligence product of many Ghost Troops. They send me the reports and sometimes I do a little back-and-forth with them. They keep me informed, and I polish my ideas and Ghost Troop analysis with top experts in the field, sometimes across many countries and several continents. [...]

ICONOCLAST: You have said that you already have informants imbedded [sic] in various governmental and corporate entities. Are you seeking to expand upon these?

CAPT. MAY: At all times. [...] Some of the most prominent people in the 911 Truth Movement, for example, are Ghost Troops. We had a U.S. ambassador in the unit as chaplain for the first three years."

Captain May has been predicting the "next 9/11" since at least 2004, and his personal bio gives his background in the military. He claims to have "spent five years with Houston's 75th Division (USAR) as an Opposing Forces Controller, meaning that I learned better than most -- even most experts -- how to run contrarian scenarios."

Captain may is a supporter, signer and endorser of Webster Tarpley's Kennebunkport Warning of a potential false flag attack:

"The Kennebunkport Warning is short and strident at 200 words. It has been posted widely on the Internet, and in last week's edition of The Lone Star Iconoclast. Since then, though, it has come under sustained fire from a swiftboat attack aimed at its authors and signers, and even its word choices. Every aspect of the document has been called into question -- except its content."
[see Kennebunkport Warning Controversy for a response to these claims]

Not only has May endorsed the Kennebunkport warning, but previous warnings as well. In fact, he has been interviewed on the radio by fellow supporters of the Kennebunkport Warning including Jim Fetzer, Kevin Barrett, and Webster Tarpley. Morgan Stack, yet another Kennebunkport warning signer/promoter features his work on his website 911truth.ie as noted below by Jim Hoffman. Radio interviews include:

"· Captain May was interviewed by both Jim Fetzer and Kevin Barrett on their radio shows about a potential new 9/11.

· "Captain May's interview on Dr. Kevin Barrett's radio show discussing his article Next 9/11, Summer, 2007? (7-24-07)"

· "In his July 3 interview with Dr. Kevin Barrett, Captain May addressed the prospects and probabilities of a July false flag attack on U.S. soil, and of a consequent escalation of the Mideast War (Iraq and Afghanistan) to World War Three (Syria and Iran, et al.)."

Other Radio interviews and a list of articles by May are numerous and the “next 9/11” theme is strongly emphasized. A sample of article titles advocating this theme include:

· A Nuclear Nightmare - The Portland Plot

· Stage Set for 'New Pearl Harbor'? Only a domestic terror attack can save discredited Bush

· Loose Nukes Looming Near By

· 911-2B: American Nightmare & Neocon Fantasy

· Staging the Portland Nuke (A Comedy of Terrors)

· A Dawning Dictatorship? (911-2B & NSPD-51)

· Next 9/11, Summer, 2007? (w/ Top Three U.S. Nuke Targets)

· Is this Administration planning another 9/11 on May 11th?

· Operation Apocalypse, End-Timers and End-Game Strategy

· 911 Truth and Texas Terror

It can be noted, that one of the functions of disinformation is to discredit true information by associating it with false/bad/misleading information. A famous example of this is known as the “the boy who cried wolf” fable.

Captain May is also an endorser of numerology in articles such as “9/11, 3/11, 7/11 Terror Dates: Is there an ‘embedded code,’ and can we use it to save ourselves?”:

"· The 9 and 3 month numbers were square and square root of each other

· There were exactly 911 days between the dates 9/11 (2001) and 3/11 (2004)

· There was a reported body count from the Madrid bombings of 199 (which was 911 with the numbers "flipped" — 9’s to 1’s; 1’s to 9’s: 911/199)

· There was even a reversion of the body count downward (who got up and left the morgue?) to 191 — which is an anagram (mix-up) of 911!"

Captain May has been using numerology to predict the "next 9/11" since at least 2004:

We're either closer to a geopolitical adjustment (i.e., reducing our (sinking) Middle Eastern footprint), or just that much closer to 911 (the sequel), which I've been predicting as 9/27 (i.e., 9/9, i.e., 9=9=18; i.e., 1=8 = 9). Again, 9/27 will be the 1111st day since 911 (which was 11 years from the announcement of the New World Order by King George XLI).
According to Captain May, understanding numerology is important because the planners of the next false flag attack:
"like to communicate with this Illuminist number code and the media is actually passing the information on to the many levels of members, alerting them of the potential dates and times of planned acts of terror... They are also using the repetitive name game, another way of feeling superior. Just think about it: Oklahoma City, Okla., New York, N.Y. and now maybe Texas City, Texas."
Using numbers and name games to predict the next 9/11? Jim Hoffman observes that David Ray Griffin's appearance in Ireland was canceled because of Captain May:

"In Ireland David Ray Griffin's appearance was canceled and he was labeled anti-Semetic due to posts by "Captain Eric May" being featured on Morgan Stack's 911truth.ie website.
* May is yet another "former" intelligence person who advocates numerology to expose the 9-11 coverup.
* May is openly anti-semetic, describing the media and Hollywood as 'controlled by the Jews'."

A brief and short internet search on articles by Captain May reveals that he is antisemitic:

"In this case it is the controlled media, who use Jewish Cabalism, and the "Bush Boyz" (criminal officials and agents), who use Masonic coding, and they're reporting their handiwork in the Great Plains! . . . I wonder why the Jewish film industry would make a mistake like that, rewriting the plot of reality to convince us -- with a powerful movie -- not to obsess about the prospect of embedded code in the mainstream Jewish news media?" - Captain Eric H. May

"Dear Mr. Green, I read with great interest your essay "Holocaust Fundamentalism - You WILL Believe" just now, and am eager to forward it to Ghost Troop, my associates (military veterans and civilian supporters). We have come to be astute in the importance of body-count numbers to political purposes, and aren't a bit surprised to find that thoughtful men like you are questioning "official reality" in the Holocaust... We are specifically rooted in the matter of the current Zionist Media efforts to keep the real number of US dead GI's covered up in the Middle East. The same forces that want to exagerate [sic] the suffering of the Jews on the one hand want to minimize the suffering of the Christian Army they have duped into killing Moslems. […] If you told me you thought you found an exaggeration factor of "5" (in the Holocaust), I'd just say it matched the minimization factor of five (in the Middle Eastern War). Captain May / Ghost Troop"

"Believe me, all, those of us, like Ghost Troop, who are intellectual opponents of the Jewish Zionist kulturkampf -- which we call the infowar -- are the rational opposition. I provide one stark link to our unit infowar history, from this summer, when we were involved in what we coded "Ghost Troop 9112B." It's from a most valued international infowar ally who stabbed us in the back for trying to hold true to the Constitution, when he and his cult wanted us to renounce that prudent pact to join a growing international -- and revolutionary -- movement against the Jews http://100777.com/node/1373

Mission of Conscience / Patriots in Action"

"No question about it, the American People are being readied for another Al Qaida attack -- and they have been told that it will be in the heartland of the Homeland months ago. The WMD attack, high death tool and ensuing tower collapse to top it all off will achieve the kind of "iconic" psychological effect necessary to carry the war spirit to the nuclear level necessary to impose a Middle Eastern Final Solution -- for the equal benefit of the co-founders, the Military Industrial Complex and the Israel Lobby. The first target for the American "counterattack" is obvious. Iran is already being shaped into a monster by Judas Journalists with their headquarters in New York and their heartbeat in Tel Aviv. The best propagandists in broadcast and print first insinuated -- and now insist -- that Iran is a "nuclear threat" bent on a "nuclear confrontation," that might have to be met by a "nuclear option." Any idea is worth hanging a "nuclear" label on, and any excuse will do to start a nuclear war!

"I re-include the press release we of Ghost Troop have issued, giving confirmed "news" that the Zionist-controlled US Media has repressed for 30 months, in complete disregard of the tenets of the Constitution and the ethics of journalism… Remember Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir's comments to the World Islamic Conference back in the fall of 2003? He said that US Jews dominated US cultural and political life -- and given that 80% of the Neocons are Jewish, it's not my fault -- nor Mahathir's -- that his remarks are right on! [...] Regards and thanks, CPTMAY"

"Our Ghost Troop mission of conscience began with honoring our dead comrades in the services who were receiving no just counting by the propaganda press. That mission has been covered widely in the international media and US alternative media, and is summed up nicely (I think) by National Vanguard. We became creative in finding ways around the Israel Lobby's propaganda arm (they call it the media) to pursue just honors for our fallen brothers and sisters, who are dying in far greater numbers than are being reported.

Captain May's “Jews control the media” theme of was subtly repeated in his piece “Amerika Über Alles” — Our Nazi Nation” posted on 911blogger by Carol Brouillet:

"Neither Hitler nor Bush could have effected their radical plans without a party full of functionaries and a compliant national media, of course. Hitler relied on his “Nazi” party, a word derived from the name of his National Socialist organization. He had a brilliant individual named Joseph Goebbels to control the Reich Propaganda Ministry and rally the public behind Nazi policies. Bush relied on his “Nozi” party, a word derived from “Zionism,” with the first four letters Z-i-o-n remixed into N-o-z-i. He had a brilliant cartel of Zionists to control the American Mainstream Media and rally the public behind Nozi policies."

Another article by May entitled “Jews for Torture” was hidden after breaking guidelines at Indymedia.

This is only a short sample of Captain May's work and antisemitism. Mark Rabinowitz from Oilempire.us questions why an anti-semite is promoted by websites like NY911Truth and MUJCA, supposedly a part Jewish alliance:

"Why does both MUJCA and NY911Truth feature a blatant anti-semite on their sites? ( a google search returns 14 entries [on MUJCA]) He sounds reasonable enough on these pages, but apparently no one has read a single other thing the supposed "former" intelligence Captain speculating about numerology has written. One would imagine that the Jewish members of the Muslim Christian Jewish Alliance might take offense, but apparently they haven't noticed either."

Captain May appeared on Webster Tarpley's radio show to accuse Jenny Sparks and Arabesque of being "trained COINTELPRO professionals", "organized COINTELPRO cells", etc.

"I wasn't referring to Cosmos in my comments about the disinformation efforts being conducted at 9/11Blogger. Candidly, I can't remember any particular comments by Cosmos. As for the equally pseudonymic Jenny Sparks and Arabesque, it's easier for me to have an informed opinion about them. Were I not busier with more important things, I think I could come up with a pretty good article identifying those who are either actual COINTELPRO or merely useful idiots being manipulated by COINTELPRO, and perhaps even grouped them according to the cells within which they work. In some cases over the last four years, my associates and I have even been able to trice [sic] COINTELPRO agents back to their FBI handlers." http://www.mail-archive.com/political-research@yahoogroups.com/msg09517.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chicago911inquest/message/180

[see Kennebunkport Warning Controversy for a response to these claims]

These comments are also attributed to an email by Captain Eric May:

"I believe that... the more prolific of our antagonists in the Kennebunkport Warning matter were professional agitators. To take one example, 'Colonel Jenny Sparks' was harassing both the Oregon Truth Alliance and Portland Nuclear Inquest (which I lead) in the weeks before the Kennebunkport Warning. In typical agitator fashion, she claimed to do so in order to defend the 911 Truth Movement and debunk our "alarmism" for alerting Portland to the dangers the nuclear simulation, Operation Noble Resolve. She and cohorts infiltrated both group lists and hurled monkey wrenches in every direction before getting the boot. As a lasting memorial of the encounter, they then set up their own user group, made up of a mixed set of a dozen agitators and useful idiots, largely dedicated to damning me and browbeating [other local activists]. Every once in awhile I read it for amusement."

And these accusations of COINTELPRO were found in a radio interview with Webster Tarpley:

"Uh, with Jenny Sparks I think you're at both ends--I think she uses professional cointelpro cooperation and then useful idiots where ever they can be found... They're... trained cointelpro professionals--agitprop activists--and their job is not to produce positive analysis. If you can look far and near for any article of any consequence, by any of these people and you'll not find it. But what you'll find is a constant rat-a-tat of criticism against anyone else's work. And that is because their mission is not to develop the area of 911 analyses, or the next 911 prediction--it's to impede 911 analysis and prediction. So, these are classic disinformation tactics… you have to realize there are organized cointelpro cells… I've run into half a dozen of them. Anything from military professionals who went by rank, although would not sign their work, to, you know, cute synonyms like Arabesque or Jenny Sparks who would not sign their work… they usually coalesce and target specific points. You have to see them as military assets." [Note: Captain May has never provided any evidence to support these false allegations. See Kennebunkport Warning Controversy for a response to these claims]

The Kennebunkport Warning Controversy was characterized by accusations without evidence such as these. Indeed, Captain May was not the only one to make these allegations of COINTELPRO against investigators of the Kennebunkport Warning. After Captain May, Webster Tarpley, and others made these allegations for more than two months, an "Internet Cointelpro Alert" was posted:

"An effort is being made in some quarters to falsely attribute these faked and counterfeit postings, emails, and videos to Webster G. Tarpley, Bruce Marshall, Captain Eric May, and to other persons sympathetic to the Philadelphia Platform and/or the Kennebunkport Warning. Any such attempted attribution is a lie."

[note: see a list of confirmed emails, statements, radio interviews, Google videos, etc. by Webster Tarpley and his associates]

In fact, we have tied some of these videos to an associate of Captain May. "Ozzy bin Oswald", a member of Captain May's Ghost Troop email list was responsible for posting some of these videos, some of which accusing Arabesque, Cosmos, Jenny Sparks and others of belonging to Al Qaeda. These videos often make use of radio interviews by Captain May, and Webster Tarpley in the background.

You can see some of these videos at Ozzy bin Oswald's youtube account, which is linked to on one of his posts on Captain May’s Ghost Troop email list. Many of these videos by Ozzy bin Oswald reference the aliases of posters of other Al Qaeda accusation videos. While this is not a direct connection to Captain May, it is a connection nonetheless.

Summary

Captain May advocates antisemitism, holocaust denial, numerology, frequent warnings of another 9/11 attack, and accusations of COINTELPRO against legitimate 9/11 researchers frequently with dubious misinformation and often no evidence at all. His work is promoted by 9/11 activists who have a history of promoting and advocating controversial claims, researchers, and divisive behavior. "Guilt by association" is also a typical ploy used to discredit activist groups and the 9/11 truth movement is especially noteworthy for attempts to associate it with holocaust denial and antisemitism. In fact, this could be used as a deliberate strategy to discredit valid 9/11 research, evidence, and unanswered questions.
